Privacy Policy

Version: 2026-initial-v2 · Effective: September 13, 2026

This version replaces version 2026-initial-v1 and changes the operator's name to HomeRustle LLC. Accounts are asked to acknowledge it in the application. Earlier versions, and the records of who acknowledged them, are unchanged.

1. Who we are and where this policy applies

HomeRustle is operated by HomeRustle LLC (“HomeRustle,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy applies to the marketing website at homerustle.com, the application at app.homerustle.com, and related communications and services. The Cookie Policy provides more detail about technologies used on the marketing website.

2. Information we collect

  • Account and contact information, such as name, email address, phone number, authentication information, role selections, policy acceptances, settings, and preferences.
  • Quest information, including search areas, price ranges, property details, timing, preferences, and other information describing what you want to buy or rent.
  • Listing information, including a property address or location, price, availability, features, descriptions, media, and ownership or authority confirmations.
  • Communications, including user-to-user messages, support requests, voice input or transcripts when you choose voice features, and marketing-site contact-form inquiries.
  • Connection and activity information, such as searches, matches, interests, connections, notifications, and feature interactions.
  • Payment and verification information. Payment and verification providers process information needed for their services. HomeRustle does not store full payment-card numbers.
  • Location information, including places you enter, property and search-area geometry, approximate location inferred from an IP address, and precise device location only if a feature requests it and you grant permission.
  • Usage and technical information, such as pages and features used, browser and device information, IP address, referring pages, cookies and similar identifiers, security events, error logs, and diagnostics.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve HomeRustle.
  • Create, display, search, and match Quests and Listings.
  • Enable communication when users choose to connect.
  • Authenticate accounts, verify contact methods, and record policy actions.
  • Process payments and maintain billing and transaction records.
  • Send account, match, message, security, and service notifications according to available settings.
  • Structure user input, provide product assistance, generate requested content, and detect or prevent misuse.
  • Respond to inquiries and understand marketing-site use or marketing effectiveness as described below.
  • Comply with applicable obligations, enforce agreements, and protect users, HomeRustle, and others.

4. What other users can see

HomeRustle is designed to limit identifying information before a connection. Before users connect, the application may display property or search criteria, approximate or privacy-protected location information, and other non-contact details needed to evaluate a match.

When applicable connection requirements are completed, HomeRustle may enable in-app communication, disclose contact information to the connected users, or both. Information you place in a user-to-user message is shared with the other participant.

5. Marketing-site analytics and advertising

The marketing website may offer optional analytics and advertising technologies. Except for technologies needed to operate, secure, and remember choices on the website, these technologies remain off until you consent. You may accept all, reject optional technologies, choose by category, or change your choice later through Cookie Settings. Rejecting optional technologies does not prevent you from using HomeRustle.

  • Analytics may help us understand visits, pages viewed, referral sources, broad geography, device/browser characteristics, and aggregate performance.
  • Advertising may help us measure campaigns, limit repeated ads, create or use advertising audiences, and show or measure ads on other services.

The HomeRustle application does not load marketing analytics or advertising trackers and does not participate in cross-domain advertising measurement. We do not intentionally send app account data, names, email addresses, phone numbers, HomeRustle user IDs, payment details, user-to-user messages, Quest or Listing criteria, or exact property or search locations to marketing analytics or advertising providers.

We do not sell personal information for money. Depending on where you live, allowing advertising providers to receive marketing-site identifiers or activity may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising. You may opt out through Cookie Settings or a supported Global Privacy Control signal.

6. How we disclose information

We may disclose information to another user when connection requirements are completed; when you direct us; to protect users, HomeRustle, or others; when required by applicable process; or in a business transaction subject to appropriate protections.

We also use providers supporting hosting, databases, authentication, maps, payments, verification, email, messaging, contact-form delivery, analytics, advertising, security, support, and AI-assisted features. Providers currently used or contemplated include Cloudflare, Vercel, Supabase, Google, Stripe, Twilio, Resend, Web3Forms, MapTiler, Mapbox, and selected AI providers. The enabled provider set may change as the service evolves.

The marketing-site contact form sends your name, email address, message, and technical information needed to process the request to Web3Forms for delivery to HomeRustle's email inbox. Web3Forms may temporarily retain submissions or processing logs under its then-current configuration and terms. HomeRustle retains the received inquiry and correspondence as reasonably needed to respond, maintain records, prevent misuse, or resolve disputes.

7. AI-assisted features

When you use an AI-assisted feature, HomeRustle may send information needed for that request to one or more AI or processing providers. This may include text, voice input or a transcript, property or search details, map instructions, images, or context needed for the requested feature or a safety check. Do not enter information unnecessary for the feature. Review AI-generated output before saving or acting on it.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

The marketing website uses necessary technologies to operate, protect the site, and remember privacy choices. It uses cookie-free Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate website measurement. With consent, HomeRustle first-party analytics records page views, pseudonymous browser and session identifiers, referral and campaign information, device/browser characteristics, and IP-derived approximate location. Location fields may include country, state or region, city, postal code, latitude and longitude, metro code, timezone, and continent. This is not device GPS. The analytics database does not store raw IP addresses, and records are retained for up to 180 days. Other optional analytics and advertising technologies are listed in the Cookie Policy. The application may use cookies or browser storage needed for authentication, security, preferences, and core product functions, but not for marketing-site advertising measurement.

9. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide HomeRustle, maintain account, transaction, security, and policy-acceptance records, respond to inquiries, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy applicable obligations. Retention varies by data type and system. Marketing analytics and advertising information follows the settings and durations disclosed in the Cookie Policy. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

10. Your choices and requests

You may update available account and notification settings, change optional marketing-site consent through Cookie Settings, use a supported Global Privacy Control signal to opt out of advertising-related processing, close your account through available controls, or request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information through our contact form. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where permitted or required.

11. Children

HomeRustle is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as HomeRustle evolves. We will identify the governing version and effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate. If a material change affects the policy acknowledged by an account holder, we may require acknowledgment of the new version. Privacy questions and requests may be submitted through our contact form.
